Access control
What are the benefits of access control over keys?
Keys can be copied, lost or kept by former staff. Credentials can be cancelled instantly, permissions changed in seconds, and every entry is recorded. There’s no rekeying when someone leaves.
Can we manage access across multiple sites?
Yes. Gallagher, Integriti and Genetec all support multi-site management, so you can set permissions, run reports and respond to alarms for every site from one system.
Can staff use their phones instead of cards?
Yes. Mobile credentials let staff open doors with their phone. They’re harder to share or copy than cards and easy to issue remotely.
Can access control integrate with our CCTV and intercoms?
Yes. Integration lets your team see video of an access event, verify visitors before letting them in, and manage everything from one screen.
What happens if a card is lost?
It’s cancelled straight away and a replacement issued, with no lock changes needed.
Can you upgrade our existing system?
Often, yes. We can extend or migrate existing Integriti, Tecom, Gallagher and other systems, and reuse hardware where it makes sense.
Do you provide ongoing support?
Yes. We offer preventative maintenance plans, software updates and 24/7 emergency support.
CCTV
Can we view footage remotely?
Yes, securely, on desktop or mobile, for the people you authorise.
How long is footage kept?
Typically 14 to 30 days, depending on your requirements and storage. Incident footage can be exported and archived.
Can CCTV work with our alarms and access control?
Yes. Integration gives visual verification of alarms and door events, faster responses and better audit trails.
What are video analytics actually good for?
Reducing the hours spent watching screens. Analytics alert your team to specific events, such as a person in a restricted yard after hours, so they can act quickly. We’ll recommend what’s genuinely useful for your site.
Do you upgrade existing CCTV systems?
Yes. We can migrate older systems to modern IP platforms, often reusing cabling and some equipment.
Is your CCTV installed to Australian standards?
Yes. Licensed technicians install every system, under our ISO-certified processes.
Intercoms
Can we answer the intercom from our phones?
Yes. Mobile apps let authorised staff see the caller, talk to them and open the door from anywhere.
Can intercoms control boom gates and vehicle gates?
Yes. Intercoms are commonly used to manage gates and barriers remotely at unmanned entries.
Will an intercom work with our access control?
Yes. We integrate intercoms with Gallagher, Integriti and other platforms, so door release and event logging happen in one system.
Alarm systems
Do you install alarms for large commercial and government sites?
Yes. We deliver multi-zone and multi-building systems for government, industrial and corporate clients.
Can our alarm be monitored 24/7?
Yes. See 24/7 monitoring (/24-7-monitoring/).
Can the alarm work with access control and CCTV?
Yes. Integration lets the system arm and disarm with your access control and lets operators verify alarms on video.
How often should an alarm be serviced?
At least annually, and more often for high-risk or critical sites.
Electric fencing
Is an electric security fence safe?
Yes. Gallagher energisers deliver short, safe pulses and are tested to the Australian and New Zealand safety standard. Fences carry warning signs, and pulse synchronisation means anyone touching two fences at once only receives one pulse. As a Gallagher Certified Channel Partner, we install to Gallagher’s code of practice.
Can it go on our existing fence?
Often, yes. The energised wires can usually be added to an existing perimeter fence, or we can build a new fence line. We’ll check your fence during the site survey.
Can we turn it down during working hours?
Yes. Zones can be switched on and off on a schedule, or run on a reduced “low feel” setting during the day and full power after hours.
Can the fence be monitored 24/7?
Yes. Fence alarms can go to a monitoring control room and be linked to CCTV, so operators can check what’s happening before they respond.
Do we need council approval?
It depends on your council and your site. We’ll help you check what applies before installation.
24/7 monitoring
What happens when our alarm goes off?
The monitoring centre follows your instructions. That may mean calling your keyholders, dispatching a guard or alerting emergency services.
Do we need a phone line?
No. We use dual-network 4G communicators, which are more secure and reliable than phone lines.
Can you monitor an alarm system someone else installed?
Often, yes, depending on the panel and communicator. We’ll check compatibility during an assessment.
Maintenance
How often should our system be serviced?
At least once a year for most commercial sites. High-risk and critical sites need more frequent checks.
Can you maintain a system another company installed?
Usually, yes. We’ll assess it first and tell you what we find.
Do you offer after-hours support?
Yes. Emergency support is available 24/7.

Do you only work with businesses?
Yes. We specialise in commercial, corporate, industrial and government sites.

Can you work on systems another company installed?
Usually, yes. We’ll assess the system and advise you honestly.
